Summer in our area is hard to beat. The days are mild with lots of sun. We are a pleasant drive to attractions in the 1000 Islands to our west or to the natural beauty of the Adirondack Mountains to the south. For those who like the cities Ottawa, Canada is located an easy one and a quarter hour drive to the north. (Bring your ID or Passport!) Located on our beautiful rivers and reservoirs, area parks provide services including beaches, boating and fishing. When you return from your busy day you are welcome to sit by our fire under the bright starry sky. Try your hand identifying constellations through a telescope and then fall asleep to the peaceful sounds of the country. |

Right here at Misty Meadows you will find plenty to do. We have 17 acres of rolling meadow land for your enjoyment. Wildlife we have seen from our windows include red fox, whitetail deer, turkeys and many varieties of birds. Howling coyotes can be heard at night. We have built-in horse shoe pits and can set up badminton or volleyball nets. Lawn croquet or lawn bocce is available. Our deck and perennial garden provide the places to just sit and relax, read or snooze. Evenings find us around the fire ring talking, roasting marshmallows or making smores. |
